ERICA ZELFAND, ND

Dr. Erica Zelfand, ND is a family physician, medical writer, and teacher. She sees clients of all ages in person and online, with special interests in the mind/body connection and psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology (PNEI), the interaction between psychological processes and the nervous, hormonal, and immune systems of the human body. She is deeply committed to a patient-centered, root-cause-oriented, nature-honoring approach to healing. After graduating from medical school with high honors, Dr. Zelfand completed a family practice residency at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), followed by an additional four years of post-doctoral training in pediatrics at a bustling primary care clinic for children. As an engaging presenter, Dr. Zelfand enjoys being adjunct faculty at her alma mater, speaking at conferences, and appearing on numerous podcasts and health summits.

 

MARINA MACDONALD, MS, PHD

Marina MacDonaldDr. Marina MacDonald, MS, PhD completed her graduate work in nutrition at the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and the University of California (Davis), with focus on the nutrition and metabolism of essential fatty acids. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in Metabolism and Endocrinology at the University of Washington (Seattle), and a fellowship in Medical Genetics at the Southwest Biomedical Research Institute (Arizona), she began a career in the biopharmaceutical industry, working in an array of positions that included product development, research, and discovery. Dr. MacDonald has authored numerous peer-reviewed and non-peer-reviewed articles in the fields of nutrition, nutraceuticals, metabolism, and physiology.

 

CARRIE DECKER, ND

Dr. Carrie Decker, MS, ND graduated with honors from the National College of Natural Medicine (now the National University of Natural Medicine) in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Decker sees patients remotely, with a focus on gastrointestinal disease, mood imbalances, eating disorders, autoimmune disease, and chronic fatigue. Prior to becoming a naturopathic physician, Dr. Decker was an engineer, and obtained graduate degrees in biomedical and mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign respectively. Dr. Decker previously worked for Allergy Research Group as the Senior Manager of Education. Dr. Decker also is a writer and contributor to various other integrative medicine educational resources.
